
Unlike the iPad and iPhone 3G S, the iPhone 4 will have 512MB of RAM to go along with its 1-GHz (speculated) A4 processor. This “could also explain why the iMovie App that Apple introduced at WWDC will only run on the iPhone 4.” In related news, pre-orders being placed now will ship by the week of July 14th, as the company received 600,000-plus orders on the first day alone.
Apple has said iMovie will only run on the iPhone 4 and not the 3GS or even the iPad. It seems conceivable that it actually makes use of the extra RAM offered by the iPhone 4.
