AT&T has unexplainably halted online sales of the iPhone in New York. That’s right, “buyers logging onto the AT&T site were told please shop for another phone” when entering a New York City zip code.” Here’s one possible reason why:
Speculation is rampant, but several industry bloggers have speculated it may be an attempt by the company to halt scammers who purchase the iPhone and then renege on the contract and sell the phone.
