Jacob & Co.’s Bugatti Tourbillon watch is modeled after its real-life $4.1-million counterpart, but with a slightly lower price tag of $340,000 USD. For starters, it boasts a black-PVD titanium case modeled after the hypercar’s muscular bodywork and its unique characteristics, including the front grille, side radiator inlets, as well as large sapphire side windows.
Now the coolest feature is most certainly the V16 engine automaton relies that is fashioned out of a single block of sapphire into which 16 cylinders are drilled to house as many titanium pistons. These pistons are driven by a single-axis crankshaft, just like Bugatti’s real V16 engine, while the engine block automaton sports its own set of exhaust manifolds. Push down on the integrated push-piece in the crown, and you’ll launch the animation where the crankshaft turns and the pistons begin pumping. If money is no object, you’ll still need to be quick to snag one of the 250 Bugatti Tourbillon watches that Jacob & Co. plans on making.
