To make them, they first take multiple photos of the subject, generates a 3D image, and then prints them on vinyl chloride resin stretched over a mold. But the scariest thing about REAL-f’s creepy 3 Dimensions Photo Forms is the pricing. You can get a 3D mask of your face for $3,920 (with additional copies at just $780 each) and a full replica of your head will set you back $5,875 (with additional copies just $1,960). Kind of expensive if you ask me, but I bet a few crime lords out there would gladly pay up to avoid getting their hands dirty peeling someone’s face off just to bypass biometric scanners.
