Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore has transformed into a prehistoric playground. Opened on May 29, 2025, Jurassic World: The Experience brings the iconic film franchise to life with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, interactive exhibits, and a lush, misty setting that feels ripped from Isla Nublar.
This isn’t a ride like the beloved Jurassic Park attraction at Universal Studios, but a walk-through adventure designed for families, casual visitors, and anyone curious about dinosaurs, no deep knowledge of the movies required. Produced by NEON in collaboration with Universal Live Entertainment, the event runs through December 31, 2025, offering a limited-time chance to step into a world where dinosaurs rule.

Visitors enter through the Cloud Forest, a domed conservatory at 18 Marina Gardens Drive, where towering greenery and a cool, humid climate set the stage. The environment already mimics a Jurassic-era jungle, with ferns, conifers, and cycads that trace their lineage back millions of years. NEON leverages this natural canvas to stage 13 themed zones, each showcasing different dinosaurs and interactive elements. “We are thrilled to bring Jurassic World: The Experience to the Cloud Forest, one of the most iconic venues here in Singapore,” says Ron Tan, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of NEON. “This world-class experience exemplifies NEON’s commitment to delivering immersive and innovative experiential entertainment that captivates audiences of all ages.”

Gardens by the Bay’s Cloud Forest has morphed into a prehistoric playground, kicking off with the Evolution Walk, where 3D plant reconstructions and info-packed displays dive into how ecosystems have shifted since dino days. The trail snakes through thick greenery, with pint-sized Compsognathus darting out from the bushes, their motion-sensor animatronics so lifelike you’ll jump. Glance skyward, and you might catch a pair of Velociraptors squaring off against a swooping Pteranodon, a scene you can ogle from the ground, the Lost World at Level 7, or the lofty Tree Top Walk.

Felix Loh, CEO of Gardens by the Bay, nails the vibe: “Cloud Forest has been transformed into a landscape that transports visitors back millions of years, where life-sized dinosaurs roam a dense and misty forest. An educational journey is also woven into the adventure, where visitors of all ages can learn more about the prehistoric plant life that continues to shape our world today.” This mix of jaw-dropping spectacle and brainy tidbits clicks whether you’re a kid gawking at a towering Brachiosaurus or an adult geeking out over the Golden Chicken Fern, a prehistoric plant once used to clot wounds.

A realistic Dilophosaurus straight out of Jurassic Park’s venom-spitting fame, spritzes passersby with harmless water for a playful jolt. Deeper in, a massive T-Rex stalks the mist, its arrival cued by spine-chilling music that ramps up the tension. These nods to the films land whether you’re a Jurassic fanatic or a first-timer. “By placing the adventure within the living landscape of the Cloud Forest, this experience goes beyond a traditional exhibition,” says Gerald Raines, Senior Vice President of Location-Based Experiences at Universal Destinations & Experiences.

A photo booth lets you pose against animated backdrops like the Jurassic World gates or a roaring T-Rex, with prints for $10. The Cloud Forest’s mist sessions, firing off every two hours from 10 AM to 8 PM, drape the dinos in an eerie fog, making every step feel like a trip back in time.

Open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, tickets start at $26 for adults and $22 for children aged 3 to 12 and seniors over 60, available on the official website or on-site. With 72,000 prehistoric plants and cutting-edge animatronics, this iteration feels like a step forward, merging technology with the conservatory’s organic beauty. Trent Wall, NEON’s Executive Creative Director, notes, “All these massive trees and lush vegetation allow us to show off the dinosaurs in a way that we can’t do anywhere else because usually, to get this type of foliage, we have to be outside.”
