They’re mostly used for coloring books by children, by crayons, in the hands of a skilled artist, can also be used to create masterpieces. Artist Christian Faur specializes in this, using these wax drawing tools to recreate portraits of anonymous people from the Great Depression in a series titled The Land Surveyors.
