The production Koenigsegg Regera has been revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. With over 1,500 horsepower on tap, and a 0-62 mph time of 2.8-seconds, it takes the title of world’s fastest plug-in hybrid. Under the hood, you’ll find a bi-turbo 5.0L V8 engine, paired with 3 electric motors, and an 800 volt, 4.5kWh battery pack, making it the first 800V production car. The 1,500+ horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft. of torque enable it to hit a top speed of 248 mph in just 20-seconds. Click here to view more pictures of the Regera. “Sure, the launch to 100 km/h is slower than the Chiron’s, but it manages to catch and even pass (theoretically) the French car by 300 km/h. But raw power and speed aren’t the defining attributes of the Regera, as the vehicle offers a refined driving experience, especially at lower speeds, thanks to the active engine mounts that firm up, changing the dynamic feel of the car. Oh, and it also comes standard with Apple CarPlay,” reports Car Scoops.
