Lamborghini Temerario GT3 Reveal
The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 made its debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed and it’s a showstopper. This is a purpose built racing car, the first of its kind designed, developed and built at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese factory.

From the new Temerario road car, this GT3 variant strips away the hybrid system, refines the chassis and sharpens every detail for competition. It will hit the tracks in 2026 with its competitive debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Unlike the road going Temerario which pairs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors for 920 horsepower, the GT3 sheds the hybrid system to meet GT3 regulations. The result is a recalibrated V8, capped at around 542 horsepower to comply with the class’s balance of performance rules. “The engine has been completely recalibrated to deliver maximum performance across a broader rev range” says Lamborghini, “the engine has been re-engineered for racing, with new turbocharging components to optimize forced induction under track conditions”. A custom exhaust system from Capristo ensures the V8 sounds as fierce as it performs, while Pertamina Fastron Lubricants racing motor oil keeps everything running smoothly during long endurance races.

Lightweight construction is at the heart of the GT3. Starting with the Temerario’s aluminum spaceframe, Lamborghini’s engineers simplified the structure, making it easier to swap out front and rear subframes during trackside repairs. An FIA compliant roll cage integrates seamlessly, adding safety without compromising the car’s agility.

Carbon composite bodywork replaces most of the road car’s exterior, maintaining the Temerario’s sleek shape while enhancing aerodynamics and cooling for brakes, radiators and turbochargers. Ventilated front fenders, aggressive side skirts and a massive rear diffuser channel airflow with precision, so the car stays planted at high speed. Eighteen inch Ronal AG wheels, six way KW dampers and a hydraulic steering rack give the GT3 razor sharp handling.

Inside the GT3 is all business. The plush interior of the road car is gone, replaced by a minimalist cockpit designed for driver focus. A fully integrated roll cage, racing seats and a minimalist dashboard keep weight down and safety up. Improved fuel flow systems for quick pit stops, a critical factor in endurance races like Sebring’s 12 hour marathon. Every component, from the six speed racing transmission to the custom exhaust is designed for reliability under extreme conditions. Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse division, responsible for the GT3’s development, has left no stone unturned.

This is a big deal for Lamborghini. Unlike the Huracán GT3 which shared a platform with the Audi R8 LMS GT3, the Temerario GT3 is a pure Lamborghini. “The Temerario GT3, which will race in series around the world, sets a new standard for the company’s competition cars and is the first to be entirely designed, developed and built at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory in Italy” says Lamborghini.
