LG StanbyME 2 Global Launch
LG’s StanbyME 2 is out now, and it’s redefining what a TV can do. First shown at CES 2025, this 27-inch touchscreen display follows you wherever you go, whether you’re watching movies at home or turning a café table into a digital art gallery.

Unlike a typical TV stuck to a wall or stand, the StanbyME 2 is all about portability. Its 27-inch QHD display (2560 x 1440) pops off its rolling stand with one click and becomes a giant tablet you can carry with a strap or prop up with a folio cover. Want it on the wall like a digital clock or piece of art? The strap makes it happen. Need a game board on your coffee table? Lay it flat. It switches between portrait and landscape modes to fit any setup, and a four-hour battery lets you take it to the backyard or a friend’s house without needing a plug nearby.

  • Briefcase Design for on the go
  • Wireless/Built-in Battery
  • Fully Adjustable Touch Screen

It’s packed with features. It runs on LG’s webOS so you have easy access to streaming apps like Netflix and Disney+, plus LG Channels for free shows. Apple AirPlay and Google Cast let you mirror your phone’s screen, and LG ThinQ and Google Home tie it into your smart home. The α8 AI Processor adjusts brightness and color based on the room’s light, and the 10W side-firing speakers deliver Dolby Atmos with virtual 9.1.2-channel sound, and adjusts to the screen’s position. Two USB-C ports, an HDMI port with eARC, and a magnetic spot for the remote are the practical details that make it feel like a thoughtful partner.

The accessories make it even better. The folio cover is a tabletop stand and screen protector when you’re moving it. A carrying strap lets you wear it over your shoulder or hang it on the wall, and LG showed it as a café menu board at CES so you know it’s good for more than just home use. One-click stand and you can switch between vertical and horizontal modes, and the magnetic remote hub so the controller doesn’t get lost in the couch.

It’s rolling out globally. Hong Kong and Türkiye got it in July 2025, with the US, Canada, Vietnam and Singapore following in the same month. By August it will hit the UK, Germany, France and Spain, and key markets. Prices vary by region—Canada is CA$1,799 (about US$1,169) and Singapore is SG$1,599.99 (roughly US$1,248) including taxes. LG hasn’t announced US pricing yet, but the original StanbyME was $999.99 and the StanbyME Go was $1,200 so this one will likely be a bit more.
