First, there was the live-action Fallout series announcement from Prime Video, now comes these teaser images of Lionsgate’s Borderlands movie, directed by Eli Roth and set for release on August 9, 2024 in the US. It stars Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Kevin Hart (Roland), Jack Black (Claptrap), Edgar Ramírez (Atlas), Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina), and Jamie Lee Curtis (Tannis).
The movie follows Lilith, an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past who reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas. She then forms an alliance with an unexpected team that includes Roland, a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption, and Tiny Tina, a feral pre-teen demolitionist. The first trailer is expected to drop tomorrow.
