Tesla may have just unveiled the production Model 3, but the company has several competitors waiting in the wings, including the Lucid Air. Unlike the Model S, the Air’s battery pack has a combined power output of 1,000 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds, and topping ouat at 235 mph. Don’t let those numbers scare you, as it has a 400 mile range when fully charged. Autonomous driving systems, a 29-speaker audio system that uses active noise cancellation, and OTA software updates are also included. “Lucid’s engineering prototype has an insane, 1,000-horsepower engine, but the first production model will have a slightly more modest 400 horsepower. It will cost $60,000 and have 240 miles of electric-powered range. Lucid also expects to sell more expensive 315- and 400-mile range versions,” reports The Verge.
