Apple’s new MacBook Pro M4 is nearly identical to its predecessor, which means a user replaceable battery. However, it does have a larger heatsink and slightly rearranged hardware components, although the logic board is still a pain to remove.
One other piece of good news is that nearly all of the ports can be individually replaced by the user, like the MagSafe connector and card reader, if you have advanced soldering skills. Now if something goes wrong with your screen or logic board, AppleCare+ will definitely come in handy, as repairing it on your own is definitely out of the question.
