There’s the unmanned Kawasaki K-Racer X2 drone, and then this ‘heavy-lifting’ manned drone that you can buy on Alibaba for a whopping $39,000 USD. Riders to need to weigh under 220 pounds, but those that meet the criteria can use it to fly up to 400-feet in the air.
The scariest part would be that there are no on-board controls, as everything is handled with a remote control. This means you either have to fly with it, or have someone on the ground controlling everything. If that doesn’t bother you, the 485-pound manned drone has a decent 3.3 – 6.6 ft/s climbing speed and a cruising speed of around 22 mph. Power comes from electric motors connected to an 88V Lipo battery. Interested? Check it out here.
