When Will.i.am partners with Mercedes-AMG, you get MBUX Sound Drive. This interactive music experience basically transforms compatible Mercedes-Benz vehicles into a virtual musical instrument that reacts to the way it’s being driven.
MBUX Sound Drive utilizes a suite of sensors and advanced software to interprets various driving dynamics including recuperation, acceleration, steering, and braking. The interpreted data is then converted into musical expressions that allows the driver to ‘compose’ their virtual instrument in real-time. Interested? MBUX Sound Drive is set to roll out in mid-2024 on Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the second-generation MBUX system.
