OX Flat-Pack Truck

Unlike other vehicles, the OX – created by McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray – is a modular flat-pack truck that can be assembled like IKEA furniture by a small team in just 12-hours., designed by the man who came up with the legendary McLaren F1. When fully-assembled, it draws power from a 2.2L 16v diesel producing 100-horsepower and 229 lb-ft. of torque, while carrying more than two tons of cargo. It can also be configured to accommodate up to 13 people, carry eight 44-gallon drums or up to three Euro-pallets. “Not only does the OX have great ground clearance and very short overhangs, it also features a tailgate that detaches to double as a loading ramp. The rear bench seat bases also have a dual purpose: the long ‘egg crate’ frames can be removed and placed under the drive wheels to help the OX traverse soft ground,” reports Road and Track.
