MIT DuoSkin

MIT Media Labs’ “DuoSkin” looks like a metallic tattoo at first, but it’s actually an on-screen user interface that’s comprised of gold metal leaf. When worn, it can be customized to provide three different types of on-skin interfaces: sensing touch input, displaying output, and wireless communication. This metallic tattoo can store and share data wirelessly with smart devices via near-field communication (NFC) technology, while its ‘touch input’ technology enables your skin to be used as a trackpad for things like adjusting volume, turning on lights, writing text, etc. Click here to view the first image in this week’s funny work pictures gallery.
