Monster Persona SE ANC headphones, priced at $39.99 (was $159), suit people who keep music, podcasts, or calls going for hours and prefer steady quiet over constant adjustments. Forty-millimeter drivers push a smooth, relaxed sound that keeps midrange voices and instruments clear while keeping the low end from turning muddy or overly aggressive. Pure Monster Sound processing shapes the output into consistent stereo that holds up across different tracks and spoken content, so long sessions stay easy on the ears instead of wearing them down.
Active noise cancellation makes a big difference in everyday life by eliminating low-frequency rumbles such as snoring, muffled voices on the other side of the cubicle, and the constant hum of the office air conditioner or your favorite cafe traffic sounds. You simply push a single button on the cup to switch the feature on or off, and the system claims to eliminate up to 98% of background noise while going about your day, though let’s be honest, you’ll still hear some higher sounds plainly. It works great for blocking out low-level noises at work, on public transportation, or at home that might otherwise compete with your audio, but if safety or awareness are more important, you may switch to ‘aware’ mode and hear what’s going on around you.

Battery life is rather impressive for the price, as most casual listeners can go for several days without needing to recharge. On standard playback mode, you can get up to 60 hours on a single charge, but noise cancelation reduces that to around 40 hours. Quick charging via the USB-C plug-in provides a solid 4 hours of listening time after only 5 minutes of charging, making it ideal for last-minute top-ups before heading out. Bluetooth 5.4 provides a rock-solid connection that couples quickly and remains stable even across most common room distances without signal loss.
The memory foam padding within the earcup is nice and comfortable, especially after a long session, because it distributes pressure more evenly than stiff pads, thus the clamping force remains nice and light even after an hour or two of use. The adjustable headband and foldable frame allow for quick adjustment to acquire the optimum fit for your head size, and the entire device folds over for easy storage in a bag or drawer when you’re finished. In actuality, most people think it’s light enough to wear all day, but after a few hours, you may feel a little toasty.
The built-in microphones do a good job of keeping calls clear in noisy environments by filtering out background noise, allowing your voice to come through clearly on the other end. Physical controls on the cup control the volume, playback, and noise modes, eliminating the need to fiddle with an app on your phone. If you do need to utilize a wired connection or the battery runs out, a typical 3.5mm cable allows you to plug in and keep listening. Overall, everything works together to make the Monster Persona SE ANC a strong all-arounder that gives constant performance for work, travel, and relaxing at home.
