Solar-Powered Adidas RPT-02 Sol Wireless Headphones
The new solar-powered Adidas RPT-02 Sol wireless headphones may not be the first, but are one of the only with Exeger’s Powerfoyle technology built into the headband. Powerfoyle is unlike typical solar cells, as it a light-cell material that can draw power from both natural and artificial light sources. It’s so efficient that a full charge is good for up to 80-hours of continuous use.

Direct sunlight will obviously be the strongest energy source, but even indoor lighting or just placing the headphones close to windows will harvest power. The cells are very flexible in their application and not sensitive to being shadowed in the same way as traditional solar cells. These headphones, partially made from recycledp lastics, goes on sale August 23rd, priced at $240 USD. Don’t need these headphones, but have a Tesla Cybertruck on order? You’ll definitely want to check out the solar-powered CyberLandr camper.

Solar-Powered Adidas RPT-02 Sol Wireless Headphones

The RPT-02 SOL is a product made from scratch in collaboration with Adidas and true expression of the brand. It’s made from recycled materials, built for recycling, and made to last. They are made for training and an active lifestyle, built with insights from our training creators. Finally, these are on-ear headphones compared to Urbanista’s over-ear form factor, which makes them more suitable in a training scenario and a more compact and lighter design,” said Gustaf Rosell, chief product and innovation Officer at Zound Industries.
