Motorola just unveiled the Moto G Stylus (2025), a mid-range Android smartphone that’s got some nice upgrades from its predecessor, starting with a vibrant 6.7-inch pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1220p resolution as well as 3,000 nits of brightness for HDR—so it looks great even in sunlight.
It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which is a step up from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the past two models. With 8GB of memory and up to 256GB of storage, it handles lots of tasks at once and has plenty of room for your media, games, etc. As for cameras, it’s got a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide lens that also works for close-ups.

The built-in stylus is “better” now—quicker to respond and handier to use, though they haven’t said exactly how. It’s a big deal for this budget phone, perfect for jotting notes or doodling. The Sketch to Image feature on the Moto G Stylus (2025) is a fun tool that uses AI to turn your quick hand-drawn sketches into nicer, more real-looking pictures. With the phone’s improved built-in stylus, you can draw or doodle right in Motorola’s Moto Note app. After you finish your sketch, the AI takes over and makes a detailed, lifelike version of it. For instance, if you scribble a basic tree, it could become a colorful, textured picture with leaves and branches that look almost like a photo.
Thanks to an IP68 rating, it can handle water and dust (way better than the IP52 from 2024), making the handset tougher. The 5,000mAh battery charges fast at 68W—Motorola says it lasts 40 hours on a full charge or a whole day from just 15 minutes plugged in. It still has 15W wireless charging too.
The design echoes the 2024 model with a faux-leather back and comes in two new blue shades: Gibraltar Sea and Surf the Web. It’s priced at $399, keeping it competitive in the mid-range market.
