Ever wonder if Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza are visible from space? If so, this new image shared by NASA should answer that question. Koichi Wakata, a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) flight engineer, captured this stunning image of Cairo, Egypt from the International Space Station (ISS) on February 4, 2023.
As you can tell, the most visible of the three is the reat Pyramid of Giza, which was the tomb of Fourth Dynasty pharaoh Khufu. It was built in the early 26th century BC over a period of around 27 years, and is also the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. For those wondering, it’s located at the most Northern end of the line of the three Pyramids of Giza.
