You won’t find any strange metal spheres inside the new Nintendo Kyoto store, which is set to open to the public on October 17th, but there will be plenty of exclusive merchandise. Located on the 7th floor of Kyoto Takashimaya SC, a total of 1,000 people will be able to attend the soft openings on this weekend (Oct 13-14).
In addition to the “Super Mario,” “Animal Crossing,” “The Legend of Zelda,” “Splatoon,” and “Pikmin” themed items, Nintendo also plans to release some that are exclusive to the Kyoto store. This will be the third directly managed official store in Japan, following “Nintendo TOKYO” (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) and “Nintendo OSAKA” (Kita Ward, Osaka City). For those in the states, you could always visit Nintendo New York, located in 10 Rockefeller Plaza at Rockefeller Center.
