For those who have never used or heard of Slack (an acronym for “Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge”), it’s basically a cloud-based set of proprietary team collaboration tools and services. It began as an internal tool used by his company, Tiny Speck, in the development of Glitch, a now defunct online game. Read more for a short Slack office tour video and to find out why they had to change the logo.
“It was also extremely easy to get wrong. It was 11 different colors—and if placed on any color other than white, or at the wrong angle (instead of the precisely prescribed 18º rotation), or with the colors tweaked wrong, it looked terrible. It pained us,” said the company in a blog post.
