Just a few short months ago, purchasing a Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle from Amazon meant crossing your fingers for an email invite that might never arrive. Today, anyone can add it to their cart without any hassle.
In July, Amazon implemented the invite system to keep scalpers at bay and ensure that loyal fans received first dibs on a console that sold 3.5 million units in its first four days. Mario Kart World alone sold 1.1 million copies, therefore the bundle was popular from the start. Invitations were distributed in waves, some on the same day, others weeks later, or not at all. With the Pokemon Legends: Z-A preorders opening without invites last week, Amazon is standardizing access across Nintendo’s lineup.
- This bundle includes a system and a full GAME DOWNLOAD for the Mario Kart World game, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. Limited quantities. While...
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
Pulling the plug on invites makes sense for Amazon too. The retailer has long been playing catch up with Nintendo gear, often being overlooked at launch in favor of direct sales or big box stores.

There’s no need to find an extra disc or code because the entire game downloads directly to the console. Joy-Con 2 controllers in light blue and red snap on for four-player splitscreen right out of the box, and the dock connects to your TV via a 4K HDMI connection for big-screen mayhem. Mario Kart World expands the formula into a connected open world where tracks merge into countless roadways that you may explore alone or in groups of up to 24 online. The Switch 2 is backward compatible, so your old Zelda or Animal Crossing saves will continue where they left off, but with a better 7.9-inch screen.
