OnePlus Pad 3
OnePlus consistently delivers high-performance devices at a fraction of the cost of its competitors. With the OnePlus Pad 3, the tablet aims to challenge the dominance of Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series. “The OnePlus Pad 3 merges premium hardware with smart software and AI to create the ultimate tablet experience; it completely redefines the Android tablet market for 2025,” says Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus.

At less than six millimeters thick, its all-metal unibody design, finished in a striking Storm Blue, combines form with function. “Slim. Strong. Stunning. An impossibly ultra-thin profile meets a full metal unibody design for portable power perfected,” the company notes. Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer at OnePlus Europe, describes the Storm Blue color as “a dusty royal blue that whispers class and style anywhere you go.”

The 13.2-inch display on the OnePlus Pad 3 is nothing short of spectacular. Boasting a 3.4K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7:5 aspect ratio, it’s designed to maximize both productivity and entertainment. OnePlus calls it “breathtaking,” and it’s hard to argue. With a 12-bit color depth and 900 nits of peak brightness, the screen delivers vibrant, natural colors and sharp text, whether you’re editing documents or streaming a blockbuster.

Underpinning the Pad 3 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, Qualcomm’s fastest mobile CPU to date. Paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, this tablet lets you juggle multiple apps, edit high-resolution videos, or dive into graphically intensive games. “Step into the action with the upgraded Adreno GPU and dominate with ultra-smooth frame rates that endure,” OnePlus claims, and the tablet delivers on that promise. A sophisticated cooling system, featuring vapor chambers made of graphene composite material, keeps thermals in check, offering 14% better heat dissipation than competitors.

With a massive 12,140mAh battery, the OnePlus Pad 3 is built to last. OnePlus touts up to 6 hours of AAA gaming, 15 hours of short video playback, or 17 hours of long-form video streaming on a single charge. For those who leave their tablet on standby, it can last an impressive 70 days, or even hold a charge for over two years when powered off. “It will stay on standby for 70 days and will hold its charge for more than two full years if switched off,” the company confirms. When it’s time to recharge, the 80W SUPERVOOC charging delivers an 18% boost in just ten minutes.

Sound is often an afterthought in tablets, but not here. The Pad 3 houses eight symmetrically placed speakers—four woofers and four tweeters—delivering what OnePlus calls “an unparalleled tablet sound experience.” The audio is rich and spatially precise, meaning most users won’t need to connect external speakers. “From cinema-level audio immersion to shocking spatial sound separation, swim inside a studio-grade soundscape,” OnePlus promises.

Running on OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers an improved Open Canvas that allows up to three apps to run in split-screen mode, adapting seamlessly to the 13.2-inch display. Google’s Gemini AI assistant, accessible via a dedicated keyboard button or long-press of the navigation bar, enhances productivity with features like Circle to Search. “Meet Gemini, your AI assistant from Google. Chat with Gemini to supercharge your ideas, and to help you write, plan and learn more,” OnePlus notes.

The Pad 3 sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, adequate for most tablet use cases. While not the star of the show, the cameras handle video calls and document scanning competently. Notably, there’s no fingerprint sensor, relying instead on camera-based Face Unlock.

Priced at $699.99 in the U.S., the OnePlus Pad 3 hits a sweet spot between premium features and affordability. “The OnePlus Pad 3 will go on sale starting July 8 in the United States and Canada,” the company confirms.
