University of California Irvine PhD student Mya Le Thai and her research team have invented a rechargeable nanobattery battery that could be good for 400-years of power while researching the properties of nanowires made of gold and embedded in a special electrolyte gel. Maserati Alfieri Electric

Maserati is set to release their first electric two-seater in 2020, and it’s the Alfieri Electric. While no performance figures have been announced, the company hopes to compete with Porsche, Bentley, BMW and Jaguar’s electric vehicles. One Wheel Monowheel

A monowheel is basically a one-wheeled single-track vehicle similar to a unicycle. However, instead of sitting above the wheel, the rider sits either within it or next to it. The wheel is a ring, usually driven by smaller wheels pressing against its inner rim. Hand-cranked and pedal-powered monowheels were patented and built in the late 19th century; most built in the 20th century have been motorized.
