Peacock has just released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming ‘Twisted Metal’ TV series based on the PlayStation game. This half-hour, live-action show is essentially a high-octane action comedy centered around John Doe (Anthony Mackie), a talkative outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, named Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an infamous ice cream truck, in hopes of securing a chance at a better future. It also stars Thomas Haden Church (Agent Stone), Samoa Joe (Sweet Tooth) and Richard Cabral (Loud). The TV series will start streaming on Peacock beginning July 27th.
