With the current value of gold at $1793 USD per ounce, it’s no surprise that Caviar’s latest luxurious creation, the PlayStation 5 Golden Rock Edition will cost you nearly half a million dollars. Limited to 9-units worldwide, the side plates are made from pure gold, and 9.9-pounds (4.5-kilograms) of it total. Despite its $499,000 USD price tag, the company has already received over 1,300 requests for the console, including an inquiry from Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James.
Caviar is currently creating the first unit at their Russian workshop, and each one will take approximately 4-months to complete from start to finish.
