This Photographer Almost Got Hit by a Semi Truck While Covering a Crash in Extreme Fog

Photographer Caleb Holder was filming a multi-vehicle pileup in Texas on Friday when suddenly a second 18-wheeler jackknifed to avoid a red SUV that changed lanes in front of it. The truck then swerved off the road and rolled over on its side, hitting several vehicles as it slid into a ditch directly in front of Holder.

The truck did however strike a Texas state trooper and pinned another driver inside a pickup truck. Fortunately, a Lubbock Fire Department rescue team successfully extricated the person from the pickup truck, with the driver and the trooper being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both are expected to survive with non life-threatening injuries.
