Powered by 5382 sq ft of solar panels, PlanetSolar is touted as the world’s largest solar-powered boat. It took nearly 13-months to build and measures “102 feet long, almost 50 feet wide and stand[s] 24-1/2 feet high.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The next step is the formal launching which is slated for April and, beyond that, are plans to take the yacht on an around the world journey in 2011.
