Yes, this researcher managed to capture lightning on a piece of plexiglass. This was accomplished by charging the interior of an 18″ x 18″ x 1 piece of plexiglass to 2.2-million volts, “irradiating it with electrons from a 5 million electron volt particle accelerator.” Video after the break.
