The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is set to hit iOS and Android devices later this year, letting fans open virtual packs with friends. This version of the collectible trading card game introduces “immersive cards,” which give players the experience of leaping into the world of the card’s illustration.
Just like in the physical card game, players will be able to booster packs every day (up to 2) at no cost, including cards with nostalgic illustrations as well as new cards found only in the app. Plus, users will also be able to participate in quick battles featuring streamlined rules based on the classic Pokémon TCG battle system.
