We know the Porsche 918 Spyder is fast, but what happens when it drag races a modified 2002 Honda (Acura in North America) Integra Type R? The hypercar is a plug-in hybrid powered by a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 4.6L V8 engine, paired with two electric motors, that generate a combined 875 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.
As for the Integra Type R, it has been modified with a massive new turbocharger, boosting the 2.0L 4-cyldiner engine to 922 hp. There’s just one issue with the Integra, and that is turbo lag, which refers to the time between hitting the throttle before feeling the rush of torque from the turbocharged engine. Let’s just say that the Porsche 918 Spyder currently sells for $1.95-million for a good reason, but the Honda still manages to hold its own.
