Portal Prelude RTX was released back in July, and now, a fan-made Portal 2 VR mod is available for free download. Based on the Left 4 Dead 2 VR mod, the game boasts a more immersive experience, but there are a few glitches that users may experience such as buggy in-game menus.
Installing this mod is as simple as downloading the zip, extracting the files to your Portal 2 directory, connecting your headset, and then launch the game with certain options enabled. Need to adjust video settings? Simply go into the in-game menu before loading into a chapter. You can also recenter the camera height by pressing down on the left stick, or viewing the HUD by aiming the controller up or down. Portal 2 was first released in 2011 on Windows / OS X (Steam), PS3 and Xbox 360. Download it here now.
