It’s no Unicorn V3, but this ultra rare Prodrive P25 street-legal rally car could be yours for the right price. Based on the 1990s Subaru Impreza 22B rally car and originally priced from an eye watering $560,000 USD, it’s powered by a turbocharged 2.5L flat-four modified by Prodrive to generate 440 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in 2.8s.
This example is just one of 14 right-hand-drive cars made, and the only one finished in Solar Silver, with just 200 miles on to odometer. The cabin features Alcantara upholstery, a host of carbon fiber bits, and a digital instrument cluster. Plus, it includes a factory roll cage. Other upgrades include a WRC-style launch control system, an Akrapovič racing exhaust system, an anti-lag system for the turbo, and a six-speed sequential transmission with helical gears. Bonhams expects the vehicle to fetch between $595K – $720K.

In Subaru purists’ terms, Prodrive was still juggling chainsaws, however. They had some pretty big shoes… high tech running shoes… to try to fill. The 22B STi upon which the P25 is loosely based has become an all-time great in the years since its 1998 launch. Unarguably one of the brightest stars in the Subaru firmament,” said Paul Hegarty – Consignment Specialist at Bonhams.
