According to The Commercial Times, Asustek has begun production of Sony’s PlayStation 3 — “with the aim of delivering up to 200,000 machines this month.”

If Sony can pull 200,000 consoles for the next five months, that will give them the million they announced they’d have for a world wide launch. An eighth of what they need to satisfy demand, but it’s better than not meeting even that modest promise
