DIY handheld gaming PCs have been around for a little while, but the ‘RyzenDeck’ is most certainly one of the cleaner looking examples we’ve seen. Why? ‘Raven0606’ wanted a device that could both play emulated classic games as well as the latest PC titles, thus this 9-month project was born.
Hardware wise, it boasts a an 8-inch (1280 x 800) touchscreen display, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a Crucial P3 1TB SSD, an ASUS X300M-STX motherboard, and an externally-mounted 108wh battery. For those wondering, yes, this 3.44-pound handheld gaming PC does use Xbox One controller parts.

First case was printed in ABS, looked [terrible] and was hurting my hand-palms when playing too long. Everything from then on was printed in PLA on my own printer (bought and learned that stuff just for this project). The battery pack will be in PLA too, but with an integrated Noctua Fan, so the battery doesnt melt the PLA, when using overclock-settings and charging at the same time,” said its creator.
