It’s official, the Samson Switchblade flying car has successfully completed its first flight after taking off from Moses Lake Airport/Grant County Airport in Washington state. It reached an altitude of 500-feet and the flight was achieved under cloudy skies with calm winds.
Powered by a unique hybrid electric system that uses unleaded auto gasoline, the Switchblade has a maximum driving speed of 125+ mph and a maximum flight speed of 190 mph. So far there have been 2300 Reservations from 57 countries and all 50 States in the U.S. Samson Sky designed the $170,000 USD (starting) Switchblade
dashboard to allow for either right-hand or left-hand drive, maximizing its versatility.
