Sonic Robo Blast 2 SEGA 32X
Saturn saw Sonic Jam, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic R, but here’s what the fan-made Sonic Robo Blast 2 could have looked like on the 32-bit console. This fan-made game was just ported to the SEGA 32X and rewritten from the ground-up to work inside 256kb of RAM using the Doom 32X Resurrection/Fusion legacy port.

Sure, the textures and sprites may only be displayed at half resolution, but Sonic Robo Blast 2 runs flawlessly on actual SEGA 32X hardware (NTSC only) via Kega Fusion v3.64. An updated PAL-optimised version is currently in the works, and may include parallax-scrolling skies. Want to try it out? You can download the demo now.
