Warner Bros. and HBO Max have just released the first trailer for “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster that had NBA superstars playing alongside Looney Tunes characters. This time, Lebron James takes the place of Michael Jordan as a fictionalized Tune Squad version of himself in the live-action / animated sports comedy. LeBron James and his aspiring video game developer son Dom (Cedric Joe) get trapped in a virtual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle). LeBron must try to get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole crew of Looney Tunes characters to victory over the Al-G’s digitized champions on the court.
