Think of the Alienware Concept UFO as a Nintendo Switch that runs Windows. It’s powered by a 10th Gen Intel processor and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, as well as Thunderbolt connectivity. This handheld PC lets gamers enjoy triple-A titles on the go on an 8-inch screen at 1900×1200 resolution. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but we won’t be surprised to see a production model when the Switch Pro is released later this year.

Dell applied for a patent at the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) for a ‘system for color and brightness output management in a dual display device’ last year, and it was just published on September 12, 2019. Dual-screen laptops are nothing new, but this device wants to take that idea to the next level. This laptop would come in two configurations: two separate screens connected by a hinge and just one large folding OLED screen.

Alienware Area 51m Laptop CES

Alienware has just revealed its monstrous desktop replacement at CES 2019, the all-new Area-51m laptop. Priced from $2549, this massive 8.54-pound laptop boasts Intel’s 9th-generation desktop CPUs and “full-fat” versions of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX GPUs. The base model comes equipped with a six-core Core i7-8700 chip and RTX 2060 with 6GB GDDR6 video memory, but can easily be upgraded to the eight-core i9-9900K and RTX 2080 with 8GB GDDR6. Other features include a 17.3-inch 1080p IPS display (NVIDIA G-Sync and Tobii eye-tracking compatible), up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM , and a triple storage configuration that includes two 1TB PCIe M.2 SSDs as well as a 1TB hybrid drive. Photographer Von Wong transformed 4,100-pounds of electronic waste into surreal art installations for his most recent project, like the motherboard portal above. How did this come about? Well, Von Wong learned that Dell runs the world’s largest global recycling program during SXSW 2017, and once he contacted them, the rest is history. The photo above took 6-hours to build each arch, covering them with circuit boards, while an additional 8 hours was spent on the model’s hair, makeup, and body paint.
