Mazda has just unveiled its stunning Furai concept to the public. It features “a fully-running three-rotor Mazda 20B rotary engine that runs on E100 ethanol and produces around 450 horsepower.” Click here for the first picture in gallery.

The Furai, which translates to “sound of wind”, is built on a Courage C65 chassis that was campaigned by Mazda in the 2005 ALMS season. The flowing shape of the Furai was co-designed by Mazda and Swift Engineering at Mazda’s design studio in Southern California

Mazda’s futuristic Taiki concept boasts the “next-generation RENESIS (rotary engine 16X), which sets new standards for environmental and driving performance, a front-engine rear-drive layout, a unique 2-seat configuration, and Mazda’s rotary sports package, which conveys an image of lightness.” Video after the break.
