LEGO 72306 PlayStation Slides Gran Turismo and Ape Escape Into a Brick-Built Grey Box

Set 72306 PlayStation is LEGO’s first official collaboration with Sony, revealed September 3, 2026 during PlayStation’s State of Play. Builders 18 and up get 1,911 pieces that form a near 1:1 replica of the original grey console and its first wired controller. The finished set is just over 6 cm high, 26 cm wide, and 19 cm deep, which is close enough to the 1994 hardware to let the model to sit beside a real device without appearing toy-sized. The pricing in the United States is $179.99, while in the United Kingdom it is £139.99 and Europe gets it at €159.99.

Sony Unveils Limited Edition DualSense Controllers for Grand Theft Auto VI

Sony used today’s State of Play to show two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers built around Grand Theft Auto VI. The DualSense Wireless Controller, Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and DualSense Wireless Controller, Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition are both inspired by Vice City, with one side designed for sunny seaside days and the other with neon nights. They arrive on the same day as the game, November 19.

Nick Alvarez, the electrical engineer and maker who posts as NickBuilds and Nickbuildstuff, decided a regular Game Boy Color was too small for what he had in mind. He built one that stands ten feet tall and still accepts button presses, volume twists, and game input the way the 1998 original did.

Super Mario World Remastered Puts a Fresh Coat on Dinosaur Land for PC

Super Buzzy Yoshi released Super Mario World Remastered for PC this week as a custom campaign inside Super Mario Bros. X2. You install SMBX2 Beta 5 Patch 4 first, drop the project folder into the worlds directory, then pick the campaign from the list on the left side of the screen. The entire adventure runs through the fan engine, thus no standalone executable or ROM file is required.

Gold Plastic Syndrome Is Crumbling Original Nintendo DS Consoles

Original Nintendo DS handhelds from late 2004 keep showing up in repair piles with hinges that snap and shells that powder at the slightest pressure. Owners who stored one in a drawer for two decades often discover the damage only when they try to swap a dead screen or tighten a loose screw. Metallic paint Nintendo laid over the ABS plastic appears to be reacting with the case itself. Yellow or greenish stains leak out around edges, button wells, and hinge roots. Force the clamshell open and the plastic flakes instead of flexing.

Ken and Ryu Can’t Stay Friends in New Street Fighter Movie Trailer

Paramount Pictures and Legendary just put a new trailer in front of audiences today for their live-action Street Fighter movie, and the footage spends most of its time on the old wound between Ryu and Ken Masters. Andrew Koji plays the wandering fighter who once stood as the best in the world before he walked away from combat. Noah Centineo plays Ken, the flashier American who spent years in Ryu’s shadow and now finds himself in real trouble. Callina Liang’s Chun-Li shows up to pull them both into the World Warrior Tournament, arguing that Ken needs his old partner even if the two men can barely look at each other.

DK64 Rekongpiled Puts Donkey Kong 64 on Your PC as a Real Native Port

When Donkey Kong 64 debuted on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, Rare sent five Kongs on a quest to reclaim a thousand Golden Bananas, recover stolen riches, and deliver one very long rap. Rainchus, Ballaam, Killklli, Umed, and collaborators released DK64 Rekongpiled, also known as DK64 Recompiled, and the campaign now runs as a regular Windows, Linux, or macOS. You still need to point the software at a legally dumped US cartridge image. No assets are included with the download. After selecting one file, the original game code is executed on your computer rather than within an emulator.

Crumbl Builds Minecraft in Cookie Form, One Square Block at a Time

Treats inspired by mobs, blocks, and biomes are on sale at participating shops in the United States and Canada from today, August 31, through September 5, with in-app pre-orders having opened a day earlier. Every item is baked as a four-sided block, then finished with a non-edible Minecraft figure you lift off before the first bite.

Sophia Tung spent a year turning Nintendo’s orange boombox-on-wheels into a street-legal machine she could actually ride. The YouTuber and engineer, already known for deep dives into robotaxis and emerging tech, became so hooked on Mario Kart World that she decided the Tune Thumper had to exist in real life at full size. The Tamagotchi Ring is the end result: a 28-millimeter egg with a color screen, two functional side buttons, and 30 characters taken from three decades of the same hungry little creatures that were formerly fastened to backpacks. Official pre-orders began in Japan on August 27, 2026, with boxes shipping in February 2027.
