Texas Instruments TI MSPM0C1104 World's Smallest Microcontroller
Now that you’ve seen the world’s smallest record player, it’s time to check out Texas Instruments’ MSPM0C1104, the world’s smallest microcontroller. You won’t find these in computers, smartphones and tablets, however, as it’s designed for compact applications like medical wearables as well as personal electronics.

It’s roughly 38% smaller than the industry’s current smallest MCU, and enables designers to minimize board space without compromising performance. Featuring 16KB of memory, a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with three channels, six general-purpose input/output pins, and compatibility with standard communication interfaces such as Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART), Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) as well as Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C). What does all this mean? Engineers will be able to integrate high-speed analog components into the world’s smallest MCU while maintaining the computing performance of their embedded systems without increasing board size.
