The Simpsons Fortnite Event
Fortnite players have been chasing after the promise of this moment for years now , and now we’re finally seeing that wait come to a close with a whole lot of bang – or rather a flash of laser from a flying saucer. Epic Games have hooked up with the team behind The Simpsons to bring you a full blown crossover event that drags the wacky colorfulness of Springfield into the ever-changing battle royale island. On November 1st you can expect a live event that brings the two cultural giants together in a way that feels like it was bound to happen but still feels completely off the wall.

Kang and Kodos, those mischievous green aliens from The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror specials are making all the headlines with the first official look at the partnership. Their 10-second trailer has been dropped by the Simpsons on their X account, and it shows them hovering over a wrecked cartoon landscape: zapping poor Fishstick with beams , before whipping out cartoon-twisted versions of Fortnite staples Jonesy and Hope into their flying saucer. The message is pretty clear: tune in on November 1st at 11 a.m. ET to see what other kind of galactic shenanigans they’ve cooked up.

As November 1st draws closer, the changes on the island are ramping up in ways that pay real homage to The Simpsons’ Halloween-tinged style. Bart’s treehouse won’t be standing alone for long – soon it’ll have a flickering TV screen beaming out cryptic hints and quest prompts in typical Fortnite style. And on top of that , the leaks are coming thick and fast with specifics that are really building up the excitement. The whole map could morph into Springfield – complete with landmarks that have been referenced by fans for decades. Moe’s Tavern with its sticky barstools and gloomy atmosphere; Mr. Burns’ power plant, humming with all the near-misses that have made Homer the character he is ; and even a Krispy Kreme outpost, nodding to the show’s sweetest side-stories. Each spot comes wrapped in that distinctive cel-shading, and the blocky vistas of the battle royale turn into a seamless cartoon landscape.

Characters from both worlds mix in the concept art and players are going wild. Homer and Marge lead the charge, running alongside a Peely banana reimagined in Groening’s style—yellow on yellow, but sharper. Bart is piloting a mech in the distance and Ned is flying overhead on what looks like a heaven-sent contraption. Skins for Lisa, Moe, Krusty and more are available to buy or in the battle pass. These aren’t just reskins; they have the weight of episodes past, from Krusty’s crazy grin to Moe’s slouch. Fortnite’s own icons are in there too, their forms softened and stylized to fit the Springfield mold.

Gameplay gets weird thanks to one of Homer’s greatest weaknesses. Donuts will rain from the sky like hail and you’ll have to dodge them or eat the damage. Leakers Blortzen and NotPalo have figured out this mechanic and theories are swirling that Homer himself might be able to trigger the donut storm with some kind of remote. It’s totally Homer—clumsy ambition wrapped in sprinkles—and adds a layer of fun to drops and duels.
