Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic has teamed up with Boom Technology to build a supersonic aircraft capable of traversing through the skies at twice the speed of sound. What does this mean? You’ll be able to zip from New York to London in just 3.4-hours. The final aircraft will be able to carry 55 passengers in all-business-class suites. The first test flight is scheduled for 2018, and the full-sized aircraft is set to be ready in 2020, with certification from the Federal Aviation Administration following shortly afterward.
