At first glance, these may seem to have been made by a machine, but they were all handcrafted by Brian Dettmer, a New York-based artist. He’s also known as the “Book Surgeon”, and rightfully so, as Dettmer uses tweezers, knives, scalpels and other surgical tools create these beautiful book sculptures.
