Ever wonder what TikTok might have looked like if it existed back in 2006? If so, then Faded Vault created a video to show exactly that. Now the biggest question is if 5-second videos would have thrived when pit against MySpace and YouTube.
The TikTok interface in 2006 almost mirrors that of YouTube, with ‘Most Viewed’, ‘Top Rated’, ‘New Clips’, etc. One big difference we see it the ability to add ‘Friends’, making it a true social network rather than just a video sharing website. This feature would make it a direct competitor of Facebook and MySpace, but just like modern times, content moderation would have been even trickier back then.
