LAAB Architects transformed a 309-square-feet apartment in Hong Kong into a comfortable living space that includes a full kitchenette, bathroom, workout space, storage, and even a two-tiered home cinema of sorts. Best of all, many aspects of the home, such as unlocking doors, turning on lights, etc., can be controlled with an app. “We began considering time as a factor, eventually designing the space around a ‘form follows time’ philosophy, which means that spaces open and close depending on the purposes needed at that particular time.
