This USB-C-powered insect bite healer dongle, called Heat It, is a real product and claims to soothe affected areas by applying 51-degrees C (123.8-degrees F) of heat over the bite. Researchers claim that the use of concentrated heat can alleviate itch induced by insect bites or stings.
Using Heat It is as simple as connecting it to your smartphone, selecting the desired treatment via app, and after a short warm up, place the small device on top of the bite. When finished, the app will notify you. There are a total of 12 modes, with treatment durations ranging from 4 to 9 seconds.
