The AP reports that the USS New York Battleship (LPD-21), containing 7.5-tons of steel recovered from the World Trade Center’s twin towers, “arrived in its namesake city Monday with a 21-gun salute near the site of the 2001 terrorist attack.” It’s powered by “four sequentially turbocharged marine Colt-Pielstick diesel engines, two shafts, 41,600 shp (30 MW).” Video after the break.
